I went back to Mississippi

I’m pretty behind on making videos.

This one is from September of 2018 when I went to Mississippi.

I went to Jackson to visit and play music with one of my best friends on the planet.

But I also had the chance to catch a Florida Gator football game.

And, more impactful, I got to visit Columbus, MS, the city I lived in from age 12 to 16.

It was a very pivotal few years, but when I left in June of 1999, I had never returned. Until September of 2018.

From a video-making standpoint, I wish I had used a better mic. I probably could have squeezed my H1n in my luggage and recorded that and it would have sounded WAY better.

Also, my filming was very inconsistent. For example, I came back after the football games, and played drums for the church in Jackson with David, and I got ZERO footage of that other than the quick shot of the drum kit. Whoops.

You live and you learn, as they say.

Anyway, enjoy.
